CAP-TT01 series cap torque testers are designed to measure the application and removal torque of caps up to 11.5 Nm (100 lbFin).
The adjustable posts effectively hold a wide range of container shapes and sizes in position, while optional flat and adjustable jaws are available for special profiles. The rugged aluminium design and simple, intuitive operation allow use in the laboratory and in production environments, even by non-expert personnel.
The accuracy of ±0.3% of full scale and the incredibly fast sampling rate of 7,000 Hz ensure precise and reliable test results, even in quick-action applications.
CAP-TT01 family cap torque testers include a range of sophisticated functions to support production control, including USB communication port, RS-232 port, Mitutoyo Digimatic interface, analogue outputs, zeroing on cap removal, memory for 1,000 readings, and pass/fail indicators and outputs.
Password protection is also available to prevent unauthorised changes to settings and calibration.
CAP-TT01 cap torque testers include the MESUR Lite data acquisition software.
MESUR Lite collects data in continuous or single-point mode. The data stored in the CAP-TT01 memory can also be downloaded in a single block. Exporting the acquired data to Excel allows further data analysis and the generation of measurement reports.
Application
Measure the torque during application or removal of caps on bottles, flasks, jars and jerrycans.
Store the maximum torque value during removal (maximum effort to open the bottle) or store the maximum torque value at thread stripping.
Solution
The cap torque testers offered by RODER allow the torque of bottle and flask caps to be measured by placing the bottle on a plate fitted with a torque cell.
When the operator unscrews or screws on the cap, the torque cell measures the torque profile at high speed. The maximum torque value can be shown on the display or displayed as a graph by means of external software.
CAP-TT01 family cap torque testers can be used for this type of application.
CAP-TT01 family cap torque testers are bench-top torque testers with a base for holding the bottle. The front-mounted display and the ease of programming the instrument functions make this product suitable not only for use in the metrology laboratory but also on the production line or at incoming goods inspection.
