The DIGICHECK series multi-gauge measuring systems for dimensional and geometric inspection allow mechanical parts and discrete objects to be measured and assessed for conformity using objective measuring procedures that even non-expert personnel can easily manage.
The innovative architecture on which the DIGICHECK system is based makes it possible to build dimensional and geometric inspection benches (static or dynamic) using readily available fixtures and sensors that are easy to modify during setup or directly in production, even by the end customer.
DIGICHECK systems lend themselves to measurements taken directly on the production line and managed even by unqualified personnel. The display interface has been deliberately kept simple and easy to read, without giving up the powerful mathematical functions intended for the analysis of dimensional and geometric characteristics.
All production data are stored in a local database, with the option of transfer to or synchronization with existing databases (SQL, XML or CSV) for complete and reliable real-time data analysis.
Measurement of diameters, heights, thicknesses and depths on mechanical parts with traditional bench measuring instruments

The DIGICHECK system allows any mechanical part to be measured (bushings, rings, flanges, shafts, gears) with traditional manual measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, bore gauges). Inner diameter, outer diameter, height, thickness, width and depth can be acquired quickly and reliably using readily available instruments, at reduced cost and with tenth, hundredth or thousandth accuracy. The DIGICHECK system guides the operator through the measurements in a predetermined sequence, and at the end the data are stored in a database that allows both real-time analysis of production trends (through trends, histograms and production indices) and analysis of production history by division into production batches.
Measurement and inspection of flatness on stamped, blanked, forged or ground parts

The DIGICHECK system allows rapid measurement, directly on the production line, of the flatness of stamped, blanked, rolled or die-cast parts. The flatness measurement is performed with an array of sensors able to detect differences with respect to a certified calibration master. The result of the test is a map of the inspected areas with the corresponding numerical deviation from the ideal shape. A highly intuitive graphical presentation makes it possible to determine non-conforming areas quickly and reliably. All the data can be used for statistical calculations (Sigma, Cp, Cpk, Cm, Cmk) or for producing control charts (XS, XR, process trend, population distribution).
Measurement of deflection, oscillation and deformation

The DIGICHECK system allows the inspection of dimensions and positions in space acquired by LASER sensors (laser triangulation sensors, laser micrometers or laser distance meters). The dimensions acquired by the LASER sensors can be correlated with one another to determine deformations, torsions, deflections and vibrations. The measurement report can be generated in Excel-CSV format or directly in graphical format. The use of EDAC modules makes it possible to correlate dimensional and geometric information with information from temperature, humidity, force and torque sensors. In this way the dimensional test can be correlated with thermal excursion data, ambient humidity variations or the forces and torsions involved in the dynamic test.
Measurement of radial and axial runout

The DIGICHECK system allows radial and axial runout to be measured in real time with non-contact measuring instruments (laser triangulation sensors and LASER distance meters). The typical application is the determination of radial and axial runout of wheels, tires, rims and wheel hubs. The report can be either numerical or graphical. With the addition of optional mathematical analysis libraries it is possible to carry out harmonic analysis of the acquired signal in order to determine the harmonic composition of the runout, from the fundamental up to the 32nd harmonic. The software can be installed either on a fixed station (desktop personal computer or industrial panel PC) or on a mobile station (notebook or tablet).
Measurement of roundness, runout, cylindricity and profile

The DIGICHECK system, combined with precision dimensional inspection benches, allows the geometric characteristics of parts rotated between centers to be determined. It is thus possible to measure diameters, ovality and runout as well as roundness, cylindricity and radial profile data of the object (important in applications such as the measurement of camshafts). The measurement can also be acquired from measuring machines developed specifically for this type of inspection in the metrology laboratory or on the production line (3D measuring machines, profilometers, optical machines).
Multi-gauge measuring systems for form inspection

The DIGICHECK system makes it possible to carry out the form inspection of objects of any size and material. Form inspection is performed by comparison with a reference master and all differences are highlighted quickly and intuitively. Out-of-tolerance or partial non-conformity signals can be generated for the product. The system can also be installed in robotized inspection areas and unattended automatic inspection benches. In this configuration all the checking operations can be controlled directly by a PLC or by an automatic production system.
Process control on the production line

The DIGICHECK system makes it possible to collect values at regular intervals from measuring instruments installed on the production line (LASER micrometers, thermocouples, pressure and flow sensors, LASER thickness gauges). The advanced datalogger function makes it possible to keep the various physical quantities involved in the production process under control and to generate alarms when tolerances are exceeded. Using the EDAC acquisition modules it is possible to acquire data from different types of sensors, even physically far apart from one another, since the entire acquisition infrastructure is based on an Ethernet network.
Customized systems for dimensional and geometric inspection on the production line.
RODER designs and builds intelligent inspection stations with standard measuring software or with customized software.
Multi-gauge inspection stations can be combined with customized support mechanics, probe support systems and special fixtures designed specifically for a given application.

The customized mechanics can be designed directly at the customer’s request and can include customized fixtures or easy-access attachment points for the part being measured.
The design and construction of customized inspection benches also allows interfacing with the production line and with Cartesian manipulators or ROBOTS for automatic pick-up and deposit of the parts directly from the production line.

In addition to building special systems, RODER can also supply simple fixtures that allow semi-automatic inspection benches to be built for the manual measurement of simple parts (blocks, bushings, inserts, rings, blades, supports). These simple fixtures allow individual dimensions to be measured (thicknesses, heights, widths, depths, distances) with simple operations, directly at the machine, in the metrology laboratory or in the quality control department.
Customised software

Analysis of production trends with multi-gauge systems and real-time statistical control directly at the machine with customized software.
Software that is easy to use even for non-expert personnel, with customized screens that highlight the parameters most frequently used.
Easily readable GO / NO-GO classification, suitable for use even by untrained personnel or by those who need to see the result of the inspection quickly and objectively. The DIGICHECK series software can be installed on embedded inspection stations or on office PCs. The database can be local or remote on external systems.

Immediate analysis of dimensional and geometric parameters. The innovative architecture on which the DIGICHECK series measuring systems are based allows the measurement of all the dimensional and geometric parameters of mechanical parts and of stamped, die-cast, turned or blanked pieces. The complete modularity of the acquisition hardware also allows the connection of sensors, transducers and measuring instruments for non-dimensional checks as well (temperature, weight, force, humidity, color, appearance).

All systems in the DIGICHECK family can be installed in data acquisition networks and comply with the most modern quality control technologies. In addition to acquiring dimensional or geometric data, DIGICHECK systems can also manage the generation of inspection reports and XR and XS control charts and data interfacing with management systems in compliance with Industry 4.0 requirements.
