In an industrial vision system the quality of the inspection depends first of all on the acquired image: lighting geometry, contrast and the absence of reflections determine what the camera can actually see. How to choose the right lighting
The illuminator geometry must be chosen according to the defect to be highlighted and the surface of the part: grazing light brings out reliefs and scratches, diffuse light eliminates reflections on glossy surfaces, and backlighting reveals outlines and holes with maximum contrast. When inspection calls for full in-line integration, with dedicated mechanics and software, the reference solution is RODER Systems.
