How to choose a fork thickness gauge

• Resolution: 0.1 mm on the K series, 0.01 mm on the J/JD and pocket series, 0.001 mm on the high-resolution F50 and FD50 models.
• Analog or digital: analog dial indicator (K, J, F series) or digital with RS 232 / USB data output (JD, FD series).
• Throat depth: from 12 mm (pocket models) up to 300 mm, to reach points far from the edge of the material.
• Measuring range: from 5 mm (F50) up to 50 mm in the K series variants; 12.5–25 mm on the digital models.
• Portability: the J12 and J15 pocket models for use on the move; the larger models are used on the bench with the 2.1670 column stand.

The models

Analog and digital fork thickness gauges for every material

The Käfer range includes analog and digital fork thickness gauges, with resolutions from 0.1 mm down to 0.001 mm (F50 and FD50) and throat depths up to 300 mm, to measure thickness even far from the edge of the material.

For measurements on the move the J12 and J15 pocket models are available, while the JD and FD digital models offer RS 232 or USB data output for transferring measurements to a PC. The interchangeable contact points (shapes a–e) suit the material being measured.
