The PMX2-DL and PMX3-DL from Dakota NDT are advanced precision thickness gauges with A-Scan and B-Scan display: 100 MHz DSP platform, adjustable pulser, 110 dB of gain and five measurement modes. The PMX2-DL has a grayscale display, the PMX3-DL a color AMOLED display.
- A-Scan and B-Scan: waveform and cross-section
- 5 measurement modes: P-E, E-E, E-E Verify, I-E, I-E-E
- 100 MHz DSP platform: adjustable pulser 100/150/200 V
- 110 dB gain: manual and automatic (AGC), TDG
- Transducers 1–25 MHz: single, delay line, pencil
- 4 GB memory: grid or sequential log, screen capture
- Display: grayscale (PMX2-DL) or color AMOLED (PMX3-DL)
The PMX2-DL and PMX3-DL represent the high end of the Dakota precision thickness gauges: the A-Scan display shows the ultrasonic waveform, while the B-Scan provides a cross-section of the thickness, for accurate assessment across a wide range of materials.
The two models share the same electronics (100 MHz DSP, adjustable pulser, 110 dB of gain, 5 measurement modes, 4 GB memory): the main difference is the display – grayscale on the PMX2-DL, color AMOLED on the PMX3-DL with 60 Hz refresh.
