The MODULCHECK series dimensional and geometric inspection systems are multi-gauge units that make it possible to measure mechanical parts and determine their conformity.
MODULCHECK systems use objective measuring procedures that are easy to manage even for non-expert personnel.
The innovative architecture on which the MODULCHECK system is based makes it possible to build dimensional and geometric test benches (static or dynamic) using readily available fixtures and sensors that are easy to modify during set-up or directly in production, even by the end customer.
Measurement and inspection on the production line
MODULCHECK systems are suitable for measurements taken directly on the production line and managed even by unqualified personnel. The display interface has deliberately been made simple and easy to read, without giving up the powerful mathematical functions intended for the analysis of dimensional and geometric characteristics. Dimensional inspection with multi-gauge units allows precise, fast measurements even by non-expert personnel.
All production data are stored in a local database, with the option of transfer to or synchronization with existing databases (SQL, XML or CSV) for complete and reliable real-time data analysis.

Measurement of diameters, heights, thicknesses and depths on mechanical parts with traditional bench measuring instruments

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to measure any mechanical part (bushings, rings, flanges, shafts, gears) with traditional manual measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, bore gauges).
Measurements of inside diameter, outside diameter, height, thickness, width and depth can be acquired quickly and reliably using readily available, low-cost instruments with a precision of tenths, hundredths or thousandths. The MODULCHECK system guides the operator through the measurements in a predetermined sequence and, at the end of the procedure, provides the inspection result.
All the data are stored in a database that allows both real-time analysis of the production trend (through trends, histograms and production indices) and analysis of the production history through subdivision into production batches.
Multi-gauge units for flatness measurement and inspection on moulded, blanked, forged or ground parts

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to measure, quickly and directly on the production line, the flatness of moulded, blanked, rolled or die-cast parts.
Flatness is measured with a matrix of sensors capable of detecting differences from a certified calibration master. The result of the test is a map of the areas checked, with the corresponding numerical value of the deviation from the ideal shape.
A very intuitive graphical presentation makes it possible to determine the non-conforming areas quickly and reliably. All the data obtained can be used for statistical calculations (Sigma, Cp, Cpk, Cm, Cmk) or for producing control charts (XS, XR, process trend, population distribution).
Measurement of deflection, oscillation and deformation

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to check dimensions and positions in space detected by LASER sensors (LASER triangulation sensors, LASER micrometers or LASER distance meters).
The dimensions detected by the LASER sensors can be correlated with one another to determine deformations, torsions, deflections and vibrations. The measurement report can be generated in Excel – CSV format or directly in graphical format.
The use of EDAC modules makes it possible to correlate the dimensional and geometric information with information from temperature, humidity, force and torque sensors. In this way the dimensional test can be correlated with thermal excursion data, ambient humidity variations or the forces and torsions involved in the dynamic test.
Measurement of radial and axial runout

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to measure, with non-contact measuring instruments (LASER triangulation sensors and LASER distance meters), radial and axial oscillations in real time.
The typical application is the determination of the radial and axial runout of wheels, tyres, rims and wheel hubs. The report can be either numerical or graphical.
With the addition of optional mathematical analysis libraries, it is possible to carry out harmonic analysis of the acquired signal to determine the harmonic composition of the oscillation, from the fundamental up to the 32nd harmonic. The software can be installed either on a fixed workstation (desktop personal computer or industrial panel PC) or on a mobile workstation (notebook or tablet).
Measurement of roundness, runout, cylindricity and profile

The MODULCHECK system, combined with precision dimensional test benches, makes it possible to determine the geometric characteristics of parts rotated between centres.
It is thus possible to measure diameters, ovality and oscillations, but also roundness, cylindricity and data on the radial profile of the object (important in applications such as camshaft measurement).
The measurement can also be acquired from measuring machines specially developed for this type of inspection in the metrology laboratory or on the production line (3D measuring machines, profilometers, optical machines).
Multi-gauge units for form inspection

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to carry out form inspection of objects of any size and material. Form inspection is carried out by comparison with a reference master and all the differences are highlighted quickly and intuitively. Out-of-tolerance or partial non-conformity signals can be generated for the product.
The system can also be installed in robotised inspection areas and unattended automatic inspection benches. In this configuration all the verification operations can be controlled directly by a PLC or by an automatic production system.
Process control on the production line

The MODULCHECK system makes it possible to collect values at regular intervals from measuring instruments installed on the production line (LASER micrometers, thermocouples, pressure and flow sensors, LASER thickness gauges).
The advanced datalogger function makes it possible to keep the various physical quantities involved in the production process under control and to generate alarms when out-of-tolerance values occur.
Using the EDAC acquisition modules, it is possible to acquire data from different types of sensors, even when they are physically located very far apart, since the entire acquisition infrastructure is based on an Ethernet network.
