Optical filters for cameras and machine vision applications

Complete line of filters, single-substrate and with a high-hardness coating, specifically designed for industrial machine vision applications.

Filters for vision systems increase the contrast of the object being inspected, improving the system’s ability to distinguish the desired features.

Higher contrast allows greater inspection accuracy and a higher speed of the inspection system. The effect of ambient light, or of its variation over time, is minimised by the use of filters, thus creating the conditions for good long-term stability of the vision system’s operating conditions.

When combined with correct illumination, the optical filter is one of the most important factors in ensuring that any vision system can work reliably throughout its entire life cycle.

A wide range of filters is available, designed for quick and secure mounting on lenses and objectives for CCD and CMOS cameras.

Filters are available both in standard sizes, which fit most lenses on the market, and in special sizes and with special characteristics.

Typical applications:

  • Selection of a predetermined colour
  • Suppression of a colour
  • Suppression of ambient light
  • Selection of light from infrared sources
  • Polarisation of light
  • Selection of light from UV sources
  • Reduction of light from unwanted light sources

Filters for green LED illuminators

Series of optical filters for selecting wavelengths around 525 nm.

Used in all applications where a green illuminator is used or where particular colour characteristics of an object illuminated with white light need to be selected. Typical applications are the elimination or attenuation of the unwanted effects of ambient light, or the analysis of particular features of objects that are highlighted by green illumination.

This series of filters is to be combined with the whole series of GRE-type illuminators with an emission wavelength of 525 nm.

Available with standard M25.5 and M27 threads and with special threads up to M105.

Example of use.

The use of green filters makes it possible to select particular object colours or to increase image contrast.

Filters for blue LED illuminators

Series of optical filters for selecting wavelengths around 470 nm.

Used in all applications where a blue illuminator is used or where particular colour characteristics of an object illuminated with white light need to be selected. Typical applications are the elimination or attenuation of the unwanted effects of ambient light, or the analysis of particular features of objects that are highlighted by blue illumination (fluorescence effect).

This series of filters is to be combined with the whole series of BLU-type illuminators with an emission wavelength of 470 nm.

Available with standard M25.5 and M27 threads and with special threads up to M105.

Transmission curve of the 470 nm filters.

Example of use.

The use of blue filters makes it possible to increase the contrast of printed text and codes. Red source and BP635 filter, which highlights only the useful information relating to the product code.

Filters for ultraviolet LED illuminators

Series of optical filters for selecting wavelengths around 365 nm.

Used in all applications where an ultraviolet illuminator is used. Typical applications are the elimination or attenuation of the unwanted effects of ambient light, or the analysis of particular features of objects that are highlighted by blue illumination (fluorescence effect).

This series of filters is to be combined with the whole series of ULV-type illuminators with an emission wavelength of 365 nm.
