The advent of recent regulations underlines the importance of advanced systems for the digital monitoring of processes, especially in the phase involving separate collection and the subsequent recovery of paper and cardboard.<\/p>\n\n

In this context, RODER SRL is responding to the growing need to track the entire supply chain with a pioneering project, currently in operational testing, which uses RFID technology for the unique and detailed monitoring of raw materials at every production stage. <\/p>\n\n

Through the use of RFID tags, the cornerstone of this technology, each bale of material can be marked with information relevant for tracking<\/strong>, going beyond the limits of current procedures.<\/p>\n\n

The use of RFID technologies makes it possible to create virtual warehouses where all materials can be monitored remotely<\/strong> (by mobile phone, tablet or PC) and can be classified by material type, weight and size.<\/p>\n\n

Recycling Chain Traceability: the Technological Value of RFID<\/h2>\n\n

RFID tags, consisting of a microchip and an antenna, can be customised according to operational needs.<\/p>\n\n

Their versatility means they can be adapted to any shape and configured with different functions, such as reading and\/or writing data (Read\/Write), as well as selecting the read range according to frequency (LF, HF and UHF). <\/p>\n\n

These identification devices work in synergy with the other essential components of the RFID system, such as antennas, controllers, computers and the cloud, to ensure immediate and secure data exchange<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

The forward-looking project developed by RODER SRL is built around an innovative platform connected to the 4G network<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

This platform does not merely record weights, lengths and moisture, but also integrates traceability data, which are transferred both to the RFID tag on the bale and to a dedicated cloud platform.<\/p>\n\n

Quick and easy consultation<\/h3>\n\n

The data for each individual bale can be consulted in the cloud<\/strong> (via mobile phone, tablet, notebook or PC) or with a handheld terminal<\/strong> specially designed for reading the TAGs on recovered paper bales directly in the storage area.<\/p>\n\n

The use of UHF Read\/Write tags makes it possible to follow every single bale produced, from its origin at the recovery plant to its arrival at the end customer, ensuring complete, uninterrupted traceability. For the tags to be operational, they must be pre-registered in a database. <\/p>\n\n

Registration feeds the system, which automatically associates the readings with the corresponding tag and uploads the information to both the label and the web portal. The portal thus becomes a fundamental tool for creating virtual warehouses linked to the various recipients. <\/p>\n\n

Warehouse loading and unloading processes are also improved thanks to the introduction of “RFID gates”<\/strong>, connected to the 4G network, which identify and record material outflows in real time. <\/p>\n\n

This innovative mechanism enables detailed load composition, showing the number of bales and their weight, and supports the creation of a data log to be attached to the transport document.<\/p>\n\n

Implementing this technology not only fills the information gap in the central link of the paper supply chain, but also opens up new opportunities such as extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes, product certifications and improved sustainability indicators.<\/p>\n\n
